Flower of the week: Gladiolus

Brought to you by: CWI Underwriters

Gladiolus stands for strength of character, sincerity, generosity, natural grace. The first of the 250-300 existing gladiolus species originated in South Africa and the Mediterranean region. The flower was later brought to Europe, where it was hybridized to create today's many gladiolus cultivars, bearing almost every color except true blue. They are available year round, and have a life span of approx 7-14 days. Use non-floridated water if possible as small amounts of floride will cause tip and leaf burn. Break off the top inch of stem to promote water uptake. These beautiful flowers take up a large amount of water so check and replenish water daily.

Flower of the Week: Birds of Paradise

Birds of Paradise are one of the most exotic and colorful flowers in the world. They are native to South Africa, and they bloom from September to May. They require a good amount of sunlight and a regular constant watering schedule, although when arranged in a boquet they usually don't last more than a week. Birds of Paradise often range from four to five feet in height, and the thick leaves of the flower grow approx. 18-inches in length. The flower known as Birds of Paradise got it's name because it resembles the head and beak of a bird. Understanding Workers Compensation

Workers compensation is one of those parts of owning a business that nobody likes to deal with. Unfortunately, it can't be ignored. It's a statutory mandated coverage that most businesses must comply with. But what exactly does Workers compensation cover?

Workers compensation is the statutory requirement that the employer provide the employee coverage for medical costs and some percentage of lost wages in the event that they are injured during the course of their employment. Even if the injury is due to negligence on behalf of the employee most losses should be covered.

We here at CWI Underwriters work with NINE different A rated companies that are ready to earn your Workers compensation business, along with any other type of insurance you may need for your landscaping business. We are in Plantation, Florida... yet ready and willing to serve the whole state of Florida.
